Safety Precautions and Warnings
- Use with liquid nitrogen (LN₂) only. Depressurize before opening. Crack the cap ¼–½ turn and wait for venting to stop; never overfill (3/4 full). Allow 30–60 s for initial boil-off when filling a warm unit. Keep unit upright to avoid relief-valve purge
- Use only Brymill sprays/probes/apertures; attach finger-tight. Do not drop or bang the base. Discontinue use if the bottle exterior frosts (loss of vacuum); contact service
- Empty & depressurize the unit before cleaning. Follow IFU cleaning/disinfection steps (neutral-pH enzymatic cleaner → rinse → approved disinfectant full contact time → 70% IPA → air dry). Autoclave only per validated gravity-steam parameters when required
- Do not treat lesions of uncertain diagnosis (e.g., suspicious pigmented lesions); obtain appropriate evaluation first
- Be aware of contraindications/cautions reported in the literature (e.g., cryofibrinogenemia/cryoglobulinemia, cold urticaria, severe Raynaud’s/poor circulation) and manage per clinical guidelines
- Always consult the Brymill Instructions for Use and your local regulations. Training resources and the latest documentation are available from Brymill
FAQs
Does it come with tips?
Yes. The B-800 package includes A–D aperture tips plus 20G straight & 20G bent sprays.
Is liquid nitrogen included?
No, LN₂ is purchased separately from your gas supplier; use only liquid nitrogen with this device.
What PPE do I need?
Follow the LN₂ SDS: cryogenic gloves and eye/face protection when filling/using the unit.
How is pressure controlled?
A streamlined relief valve maintains constant operating pressure for consistent freezing; the Safety Autovent vents pressure as the cap is unscrewed.
What lesions can it treat?
Per the IFU, it’s intended for cryosurgical destruction/ablation of various benign and some malignant cutaneous lesions under clinician judgment.
Pro tips for performance?
Keep LN₂ clean and your Dewar maintained; the IFU recommends periodically emptying the Dewar to remove contaminants (ice, lint).
