Beauty Pro Distribution Inc. Expands Footprint with Acquisition of Eastern Esthetics Distribution Business

Strategic acquisition includes exclusive rights to LCN Central + Eastern Canada

BEDFORD, NS – Beauty Pro Distribution Inc., a Canadian distributor of professional beauty, medical aesthetics, and spa supplies based in Bedford, Nova Scotia has acquired the Eastern Esthetics Distribution business, strengthening its position in the professional beauty distribution market across Central and Eastern Canada.

The acquisition includes the exclusive distribution rights for LCN, a globally recognized professional nail brand from Germany and product brands including Inverness Piercing, Thuya Professional and PreEmpt among others (including Body Drench + Bye Bye Blemish), ensuring continuity for existing spa, salon and distributor partners served by Eastern Esthetics Distribution.

The transition follows the retirement of Susan Keddy, a widely respected leader within the industry, Keddy has built a trusted distribution network supporting thousands of beauty professionals across Atlantic Canada and beyond. 

After 40 years in the industry, Keddy has decided to retire selling Eastern Esthetics Private Career College, and now the wholesale distribution business to Beauty Pro Distribution Inc., led by president Cohen MacInnis.

Beauty Pro Distribution Inc. will assume all distribution operations, ensuring a seamless transition for customers, with continued access to key product lines, consistent service, and expanded support capabilities. This will be integrated into their existing operating infrastructure, e-commerce software and fulfillment staff.

Founded in 2022, Beauty Pro Distribution Inc. has grown into one of Canada’s leading and trusted industry wholesale distributors to Canadian Beauty, Skin + Aesthetic Professionals and sub-distributor partners. The multiple site e-commerce group ships wholesale products and equipment for salons, spas, aestheticians and beauty businesses from British Columbia to Newfoundland, daily from its facility in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

This growth acquisition will result in doubling its size including 2 new key roles. Beauty Pro has named Olivia Warrington to the role of Director of Operations to aid in facilitating this growth, Olivia is a graduate of Business Administration from Mount St Vincent University and licensed esthetician since 2020. The second new role for Marketing and Social Content Coordinator is still to be filled. 

The Keddy family has a long history in the beauty supply industry, beginning in the late 1930’s by Susan’s great grandfather S.S. Keddy in what later would become S.S. Keddy & Sons. They began the exclusive distribution of the LCN brand from Wilde Cosmetics GmbH of Germany in 1999, later becoming a division of Eastern Esthetics following the sale of S.S. Keddy & Sons in 2008.

Eastern Esthetics Distribution has long been recognized as a leading distributor of professional nail and spa products in Atlantic Canada, with a strong reputation built on education, customer relationships, and consistent service delivery. 

While the academy portion of the business is not included in the acquisition, the core distribution operations and brand partnerships will continue under Beauty Pro Distribution Inc.

“With the addition of the Eastern Esthetics Distribution business, we are expanding our category selection and ability to support clinics and spa professionals at scale,” added MacInnis. “This positions us to better serve both existing partners and new customers across Central and Eastern Canada with a broader product offering and stronger distribution network.”

The acquisition reflects continued consolidation within the professional beauty distribution industry, as established operators transition ownership and emerging platforms scale to meet growing demand.
